It is no wonder that so many artists live and work along the coast of Nova Scotia where they derive inspiration and rich subject material for their art.

This year’s fun three-day event highlights the beauty of the shorelines, towns, fishing villages, and heritage of Peggy’s Cove. Artists from several provinces will be bringing brushes, oils, watercolours, pastels, and pencils and setting up on the rocks, wharves and park areas to create new works inspired by this unique Nova Scotian community.

Soak up the process and fall in love with a painting! This is an opportunity to watch artists at work and to talk to them about the artistic process.

Artists will be on-site all three days: Friday 7th and Saturday 8th between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.; and Sunday 9th between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. 

Once complete, each day’s works, as well as studio pieces by the same artists, will be on view and for sale in a large Mongolian yurt (round tent) located a short walk from the Peggy’s Cove Information Centre

The children’s art tent located next to the yurt in Peggy’s Cove will offer free creative activities.
