A workshop to explore elements of yoga that contribute to better ease of movement, a quieter mind, a resilient voice, and a feeling of inner and outer harmony
You are invited to come and explore a gentle practice of breath, movement, and sound in the warmth and beauty of the Sail Loft Studio, with its magic of sea and sky. Being within the natural harmony of nature at the ocean’s edge is refreshing and relaxing, a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
The workshop is suitable for all ages and abilities. Cost is $20.
In her presentation, Carol Patterson will investigate questions such as “What motivates President Vladimir Putin’s rationale for invading Ukraine” “Why is this aggressive action largely accepted by the Russian people?” “How can the current phase of aggressive expansionism be seen in the context of Russia’s history with its neighbours and the West?”
Carol joined the Moscow office of the global law firm Baker & McKenzie in 1990 and worked in Moscow until 2000. After 4 years back in Toronto, Carol returned to Moscow and remained there until 2012. She travelled extensively throughout Russia and its neighbouring states during that time. Now retired, Carol remains in contact with her former colleagues in both Russia and Ukraine in the aftermath of the Russian invasion.
