Did you know many of the vegetable seeds grown in your garden can be collected and saved for next year’s planting? It’s how we humans have survived for generations.
In this 75-minute workshop, we’ll explore how you can save money and increase biodiversity by saving more of your own seeds.
Find out:
Which kinds of seeds are the easiest to save
How to store seeds once you’ve collected them
How pollination works and the difference between self-pollinated and cross-pollinated seeds
Why tomatoes grown from seed are awesome (we’ll collect some seed!)
Participants will have a chance to help collect seeds from different vegetables and take a few kinds home to try in their own gardens next year.
Registration required. Go to: https://halifax.bibliocommons.com/events/624223fc729c4241007ef676
