Learn to grow your own healthy Greens at home. I will be going over in detail how to successfully grow Sprouts, Microgreens and Baby greens (as well as some herbs). Included is a 40 plus page digital booklet (sent to your email). I will be speaking on the highlights of that booklet while giving demonstrations with all the associated props and equipment. As part of the class, everyone will be planting their own small tray of Microgreens or Baby greens to take home. Your choice of pea, radish, collards, wheat grass or mesclun salad mix. These are beginner level greens and it is my promise that you will leave with the ability to grow one, if not all of them. There is alot to offer experienced growers as well.
The start up costs associated with these styles of growing can be inexpensive. You do not need expensive grow lights. Florescent or LED shop lights will work fine. A sunny window can even get you started. You will save money at the grocery store while insuring quality and safety of the food you eat. Fast harvest times too ( 8 to 21days).
We will be discussing the following;
– Defining the differences between Sprouts, Microgreens and baby greens.
– Equipment (lights, grow trays, fans).
– Suggested soils and grow mediums.
– Seed weights.
– Growing specifics and procedures for over 30 different varieties and mixes of Micro and Baby greens.
– Sanitation practices.
The cost of this workshop is $50 plus hst. There will be 15 spots available. Email me at dangrowsandsupplies@gmail.com to register. I will also be offering participants some support via email. Once you are growing on your own, hit me up if you need a question answered. Your success is my goal. I will also be selling grow trays, sprouting jars and organic non GMO afterwards.
