Mike Day will examine the development of the Fraternity from its origins in the medieval guilds to the present-day status in Nova Scotia. Along the way he will dispel some of the myths that have grown up around the organization, explain its structure and outline its objectives. Mike is currently the Grand Historian of the Grand Lodge of Nova Scotia and Master of Virgin Lodge in Halifax which is one of the oldest Masonic Lodges in Canada, having been in operation since 1782.

Vincentian-Canadian author Moashella Shortte and her daughter Siena will join us to read from her children’s book Mirrorand to share insights into developing a positive self-image in yourself and your child.

Bring your hooking, knitting, felting, sewing (machine work as well), or any portable handwork and enjoy the sharing of handwork knowledge. (please bring your own supplies)
