This is week 1 of an eight-week session in which you’ll (re)learn foundational yoga poses, techniques, and philosophical ideas to keep you safe and motivated for years to come. This is your opportunity if you’ve always wanted to try yoga, but you’ve not had the time or inclination or if you’ve felt intimidated joining other public classes. This call is also for you if you have tried yoga before but for whatever reason you let your practice go and want to begin again. Bring a yoga mat, hand towel and water.

Pickleball is a racket sport played with paddles and a whiffle ball (similar to tennis or badminton) and is played indoors on a badminton court. Come join the fun and be part of the fastest growing sport in North America. This is a drop-in session for players who are new to the game or working on developing basic skills and/or just wanting to play for fun! Volunteers will be available for instruction in the fundamentals of Pickleball including game rules and etiquette, how to keep score as well as specific skills such as serves, ball control, ground-strokes, forehand, backhand and “dinking”. Shatford Elementary’s biggest annual fundraiser is back and we couldn’t be more excited! We are so proud to announce that the Shore Club has graciously offered to host this community event! Donations of goods and services from local businesses and community members will be available for bidding. All funds raised to support field trips, extra-curricular activities and classroom programs.

Meal planning can seem intimidating, and it can be hard to know where to start. Learn about the foundations for successful meal planning and participate with us in this interactive session. The goal of this program is to leave with a plan that is flexible and realistic for you. You will receive a worksheet to help make a meal plan and a recipe booklet to start you on your journey.

Pickleball is a racket sport played with paddles and a whiffle ball (similar to tennis or badminton) and is played indoors on a badminton court. Come join the fun and be part of the fastest growing sport in North America. This is a drop-in session for players who are new to the game or working on developing basic skills and/or just wanting to play for fun! Volunteers will be available for instruction in the fundamentals of Pickleball including game rules and etiquette, how to keep score as well as specific skills such as serves, ball control, ground-strokes, forehand, backhand and “dinking”. A limited number of paddles are available, but regulars are encouraged to purchase their own paddle. Bring indoor, athletic footwear, water and a paddle if you have one.
Open to members of the St. Margaret’s Bay Seniors Association. Membership is $10 per person, per year and can be paid at the drop-in.
Activities include working on individual handcrafts (rug hooking, knitting, etc) with knowledgeable support for newbies provided. There are also specific workshops that require pre-registration such as card making.

Pickleball is a racket sport played with paddles and a whiffle ball (similar to tennis or badminton) and is played indoors on a badminton court. Come join the fun and be part of the fastest growing sport in North America. This is a drop-in session for players who are new to the game or working on developing basic skills and/or just wanting to play for fun! Volunteers will be available for instruction in the fundamentals of Pickleball including game rules and etiquette, how to keep score as well as specific skills such as serves, ball control, ground-strokes, forehand, backhand and “dinking”. A limited number of paddles are available, but regulars are encouraged to purchase their own paddle. Bring indoor, athletic footwear, water and a paddle if you have one.
Open to members of the St. Margaret’s Bay Seniors Association. Membership is $10 per person, per year and can be paid at the drop-in.
Activities include working on individual handcrafts (rug hooking, knitting, etc) with knowledgeable support for newbies provided. There are also specific workshops that require pre-registration such as card making.
Board games, cards and cribbage boards are always available and there is a coffee/tea time.
Meet other caregivers for coffee, tea, and conversation while your baby, tot, or preschooler plays. Local doula and CAPPA-trained lactation educator, Jo Beckett is available for breastfeeding support. Older siblings of any age are welcome to attend.
