In this presentation, Jeff Chant, CEO of the Halifax Hospice, takes his audience on a journey of understanding the importance of creating grief safe spaces within our society and the importance that comes from becoming a more death literate community. He uses patient and family stories to challenge our level of comfort with dying, death and grief within our culture and shares how Hospice Halifax powerfully delivers excellent end of life care by addressing the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and loved ones. You will learn about the programs, services and philosophy of care that has shaped the meaningful and excellent reputation that Hospice Halifax has in the community and why hospice matters as part of our health system.
