The Municipality of Chester Municipal Council has asked staff to host a community meeting to provide information on coastal threats (erosion, flooding & loss of sensitive coastal wetlands). They are seeking input to assist in creating a draft set of regulations that would ensure development on or near the coast is done responsibly and safely. Regulations would also provide protection for sensitive coastal ecosystems. Anyone is welcome to attend the meeting to play an important role in developing these rules by providing input and comments.
